Bushcraft classes

Bushcraft is interacting with nature, it's the relationship with the world around you that you deepen through the growth of your knowledge, skills and attitude.

Being able to look after your basic needs whilst out in nature away from the conveniences of modern life is an essential skill if you want to enjoy the health benefits of being out there for any length of time.

I offer a selection of 2-hour classes for a maximum group size of 15. The classes are based around some of the core skills of bushcraft, each can be taken on its own or as part of a course of classes designed to build a solid foundation of the subject and kickstart a passion for discovering how to thrive outdoors.

These sessions can be adapted to suit the needs of your group and can be taken by adults or children. 7+ any under 18's must be accompanied by an appropriate adult.

Price

Group classes are priced at £180.
Reduced rate available when booking two sessions for £300.

Sharp Tools

Learn the basics of safe tool use with the saw, axe and knife.

Natural cordage

Learn to create string from natural materials, from harvesting and processing to twisting fibre into 2-ply cordage.

Knots and Tarps

Learn the basics of knotwork and put it to practical use to create a weatherproof shelter with a tarp.

Tree I.D and Foraging

Learn about native tree species, their names and roles in our environment

Fire lighting

Learn to responsibly light fires from natural resources and primitive technology.

Campfire cooking

Learn the basics of campfire cooking, like hanging a pot over a campfire or how to bake the perfect potato.
